The Valle d’Itria is an atmospheric area, renowned for its conical ‘trulli’ dwellings, and well placed for a feast of charming towns and a choice of fabulous beaches. Orchards and vineyards soak up the sun in its fertile and photogenic landscape, forming the setting for this enchanting family villa in Puglia. Its two tall cones and whitewashed walls, a metre thick, combine to keep the house refreshingly cool and remarkably characterful. The pride and joy of its local owner, the villa is furnished in country style and has a kitchen, living room and small sitting area, where colourfully cushioned seating is built into an architectural arch. The three bedrooms are furnished with cheerful simplicity, and there are two shower rooms, and two covered dining terraces, one of which now has an impressive fully-equipped outside kitchen with island. All this sits in extensive gardens of lawns, cactus beds and floral borders, which surround the swimming pool with an adjacent gazebo among the olive trees.

Giù al Trullo is well suited to families with children, offering a peaceful countryside setting with short, manageable outings nearby. Just 3 km away, Cisternino offers a wide selection of shops and restaurants and has a largely traffic‑free historic centre, gentle evening atmosphere, a shaded playground, and its well‑known swings scattered through the old town. Locorotondo is a particularly attractive town a little further away. Beaches at Torre Canne are wide with shallow waters and our Destination Expert can advise on the best beach club for your requirements. Most offer restaurants and play areas and many offer SUP and other non-motorised watersports. For a special day out, Zoosafari in Fasano (around 30 minutes) with a drive-through safari, animal encounters and amusement rides. Back at the villa, the private pool, extensive enclosed lawned gardens and outdoor space make it easy to balance gentle excursions with relaxed playtime at the house.
