Winter Wonderland

🎅 Back in December I took my 22 month old to Lapland despite people telling me he was too young to appreciating it...WRONG!! He absolutely loved it!! We spent the most magical few days there.

From the moment we stepped on the plane the festiveness begun. We were looked after by elves the whole way, threw rubbish at The Grinch, were escorted by reindeer, and the pilot even found a note from Santa on his windscreen that he read to us all. The crew got all the kids involved, and Christmas Cracker jokes made the journey go quickly. Admittedly this all went over my little ones head but I loved it 💕

My little one is obsessed with animals, especially Doggies, so the reindeer and huskies were a highlight for him. Just playing in the snow was magical to him, experiencing the playground on ice, his first sledge ride, all the new sights and sounds - he loved it... the only thing he wasn‘t sure of was the big man himself and his massive beard!!! To be honest he's wary of my brother and his beard too so I should have expected that 😂

We went for a few days and I highly recommend this over a daytrip. I live half hour from Gatwick and had to be up at 4.30am for an 8am flight, by the time we landed and got to the hotel it was gone 2pm and already dark. There is plenty of magic after the sun goes down but as much time as you can financially and physically afford is highly recommended.

We are already booked for our magical journey this year to leave our Christmas Letters with Santa, and I am sure we will be for many more years to come 🎅🎄❄
