THE ROCK HOTEL, GIBRALTAR

THE ROCK HOTEL, GIBRALTAR

The Rock Hotel was built in 1932 by the Marquis of Bute and to this day offers standards of service and guest care from that bygone, more genteel era. Note, for example, the comfortable, colonial style rooms. Of all the Gibraltar hotels The Rock enjoys a unique aspect with all rooms having magnificent views across the Bay of Gibraltar, the Spanish mainland and the Rif Mountains of Morocco. The culinary style has unashamedly absorbed influences from Iberia and North Africa as well as an obvious leaning to all that is good about modern British cuisine. The wine list is varied and extensive whilst representing excellent value and majoring on some of the fabulous wines of Gibraltar’s Spanish neighbours. The delightful Barbary Bar, which opens out on to the stunning views of the Wisteria Terrace, is decorated with colonial, Iberian and Moorish influences which literally reflect the aspect seen from its terrace. Features of The Rock Hotel All rooms feature air-conditioning, heating, satellite TV, radio, telephone, internet access, coffee making facilities, fridge, hairdryer and bathrobes Outdoor seawater pool (seasonal Apr-Sep, towels, sunloungers, parasols) Orlando’s hair & beauty salon with arom-atherapy, massage and Reiki Restaurant offering a la carte cuisine with Mediterranean, Iberian, North African influences Poolside bar Not all facilities are complimentary and are subject to seasonal demand 100 bedrooms and suites Private transfer time from North Front airport is approximately 10 minutes
