Following on from a vibrant 3 nights in Bangkok, an absolute must is to escape to the beautiful beach resorts of Thailand.

On my trip to Thailand, we flew an hour flight from Bangkok to Koh Samui.

Koh Samui is a beautiful tropical island located in the Gulf of Thailand, off the country’s south-eastern coast. It lies about 435 miles south of Bangkok.

A scenic option would be to take a train from Bangkok to Surat Thani (~8–9 hours), then a bus and ferry combo to the island.

Koh Samui’s location makes it perfect for beach lovers, offering a relaxing escape from the bustle of Bangkok, with palm-fringed beaches, waterfalls, and serene temples.
