Heritage Awali - Day 4 Part 1

Heritage Awali - Day 4 Part 1

The big news!...we have sunshine!... Today we have been able to spend a couple of precious hours basking in the wonderful sunshine, lazing by the pool and swimming in the ocean! Sadly it is raining again now, and we have a new weather feature...the wind! It's a great wind though!...warm and dramatic...and very noisy! I like wind! Given that there is nowhere to go, nothing to do, and in an attempt to stop dozing in the daytime, I thought I might tell you about the fabulous kids facilities here.... Children and babies are welcome, indeed they are referred to as V. I. Kids ( very important ) They have their very own clubs....Timomo Baby is open daily from 8.30-4.30, for 0-2 years; Mini Timomo for 3-6 years operates between 08.30am and 11.30pm, and Kids Timomo for 6-11 years, with the same opening hours. All the above are complimentary. However some excursions and babysitting services do incur an additional charge... Timomo (little bird) has a story of his own. He and his friends go in search of treasures on the other side of the rainbow...and the children help in the quest. Timomo discovers that he has a 'rainbow heart in which tolerance, love, friendship, solidarity, respect and kindness prevail'... What a lovely concept...so fitting for Mauritius which itself is a 'rainbow' nation! Teens are not forgotten either...they have their Cool Teens Club...catering for ages 12-17. It is also open 08.30am until 11.30pm, and offers a wealth of activities to delight them! So if you are a family looking for a special place, affording relaxation in beautiful surroundings, with loads to occupy your children, you might want to consider the Heritage Awali or Le Telfair....they surely take some beating!
