Heritage Awali - Day 1 Part 1 | Designer Travel

First impressions: What a wow of a welcome!…the Jambe (drum) in honour of each arrival, a warm greeting from Patrice, with his glorious smile, a scented cold towel and lovely drink…and a first sight of the lovely infinity pool and the ocean beyond! The Heritage Awali promises much right from the start. We were immediately impressed by the African style of our surroundings and the tranquil ambience of the place…even the presence of young children didn’t detract from it.

And so we were all set for a lovely week in ‘paradise’….and then it rained!……I mean really rained!…such a shame!
