I have been a travel professional for over twenty years, having had a successful career working in senior roles in marketing for a number of different well-known tour operators. I am a self-confessed travel geek, I love reading travel literature, watching travel documentaries and there’s nothing I enjoy more than planning my own holidays. It is not unusual for me to start my planning my next holiday whilst still on holiday!

A bit about me

My mum was a British Airways Flight Attendant in the 1960s and 1970s and as a child I was inspired by her tales of her travels to destinations that were really quite adventurous for that era, including Peru, Tripoli and Jordan. I have a degree in Tourism Management and went on to have a rewarding career and enjoyable career in travel marketing.

Travel highlights for me have included taking the Trans Siberian Express from Moscow to Beijing, exploring the unforgettable and unique Galapagos Islands, trekking in Patagonia (and getting engaged on the trek) and travelling to The North Cape in northern Norway in mid-summer. My three most treasured passport stamps are from Colombia, Bolivia and Mongolia.

My own personal travel habits have changed through various stages of my life. I am now a proud mum to two young daughters and while for now, we’ve swapped long haul for family holidays Europe, my husband and I have a list as long as my arm of family travel adventures for the very near future!
