Lisbon by Segway not for the faint hearted | Designer Travel

Lisbon is a beautiful city which descends from many hills to the great River Tagus to which for centuries she has owed her wealth and fascination. Civilisations down the ages have left there mark in the old fisherman’s quarter, the castle and Gothic churches.

Although not big in the numeric league with only one and a half million inhabitants Lisbon is one of the worlds most beautiful capital cities. This favoured position with the huge sheltered harbour has been sought after my many civilisations down the ages, and the city is even thought to have been founded by the great wonderer, Ulysses.

There are many ways to explore this fantastic city from Tuck Tuck’s to Tram’s or on foot or you could opt to be a little more adventurous and experience Lisbon by Segway. This unique tour is great for a family who are looking to see things from a different angle and have some fun with the kids whilst taking in a bit of culture and history. This tour is run by a team of local people who love their city and want to show you that it isn’t just about the monuments. Lisbon is light passion, sun, river, viewpoints food and people and they want you to experience the city and remember it. Segway’s are great fun and once you have got the hang of them allow you to ascend and descend the seven hills of Lisbon without getting out of breath. They offer the ability to see the highlights of the city in a short period of time allowing you to sit back and enjoy the rest of your time in Lisbon watching the world go by and if I can master one so can you.
