Excellence Playa Mujeres Excellence Club is Excellente!

I didnt think it was possible to spend almost two solid weeks on a sunlounger until I went here!

This luxury, adult-only, all-inclusive resort on Mexico‘s Caribbean coast is truly wonderful. From the moment you step outside your airport transfer, you are transported into a world of zero worries and maximum relaxation. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty to do, both on resort and in the local area, including visiting the beautiful Isla Mujeres just a 15 minute speedboat ride away. If the prime purpose of your holiday is to relax, experience great food and perfect service, you will be blown away by this resort. The genuine care and attention from the staff here left me in tears when we departed!

We stayed in an Excellence Club Poolside Room and boy oh boy was it GREAT! We barely left our sunlounger aside from dipping in the pool to cool off - falling asleep outside some evenings to the sound of lapping waves and waking up to wonderful sunrises, I still fantasize about our swim-up deck. As well as fantastic service, the choice of restaurants here is amazing, no reservations are required and you can eat anything from Asian, to French, fine dining in the Excellence Club restaurant (again, I am fantasizing about that food!) and a wonderful courtyard style Mexican restaurant which sometimes had live mariachi bands wandering between tables.

As well as the poolside rooms, there are rooms with rooftop terraces, with their own plunge pools (we had one of these for our honeymoon and loved it - stargazing was amazing!) and for something even more special there are suites with private pools and butler service.  If you are staying Excellence Club you will also have your own section of beach with dedicated service - did I mention service - it is WONDERFUL!

I love live music and was delighted that every day and early evening there was live music from very talented artists - anything from latino dance to rock, not to mention VERY popular silent discos and live theatre shows.

I adore Mexico, I've been very fortunate to visit the country 6 times and would not only recommend this resort to anybody looking for a luxury all-inclusive but fully intend to revisit myself on my next journey to this exciting country.
