Therapy Thursday - Did you know?!

Therapy Thursday - Did you know?!

Having been to some amazing places in the world, i have been lucky enough to spend over 12 months living and working in Mexico on the Riviera Maya. As an expert on the area i wanted to share my hints and tips with you and give you an insight of what its like living in Mexico:

1: Did you know Playa del Carmen is a walkable city?! with its 5th Avenue being at the heart of downtown, its like a mini Manhattan with all of the avenues going up in number order, exactly like being in New York!

2: Did you know you can catch a ferry from the centre of Playa del Carmen across to Cozumel in less than 45mins where you can explore the island by snorkelling the reefs or relax in one of their main beach clubs. Its also a great opportunity to catch a glimpse of some of the cruise ships when they come in to dock. But beware, the street sellers do hike up their prices when the cruise ships come in to port, so a tip is to visit when there are no ships in port.

3: There is a restaurant famously in a cave in Playa del Carmen! Its called Alux and is a contemporary Mexican restaurant in a vast underground cave with colourful lighting and live bats! As part of my service to you, i can also make you a reservation.

4: Want to find the BEST unspoilt beach?! head to Paamul beach is one of Riviera Maya‘s hidden treasures. Catch a collectivo from the central of Playa del Carmen and they can drop you close to the entrance. The short ride only takes around 20mins.

5: Want to visit an ancient city hidden in the jungle? Make sure you visit COBA. Its one of the most unique places in the Yucatan peninsula and taller than Chichen Itza. You can even still climb right to the top! Make sure you check it out!
