About Curtain Bluff

There are two stunning but very different beaches at Curtain Bluff – all of the rooms run along the back of Surf Beach which has golden sand shaded by palms. It’s an ideal place to relax in a hammock listening to the sound of the gentle waves.

The gently curved Bay Beach is on the other side of the Bluff and is a hub of daytime activity. The water is calm and ideal for swimming, kayaking or sailing a Hobie Cat. There’s a jetty which is the departure point for trips, rides and waterskiing and the Beach Café and Bar is located at the other end of the beach.

The Tennis Centre has four championship hard courts and a Pro Tennis shop. If you want to take an informative and fun class, the following are included in your all-inclusive rate: gardening, aqua aerobics, yoga, Pilates and muscle toning. At an extra cost, you could also enjoy wine tasting and Caribbean cooking classes.

The 5000 sq ft spa is peaceful and located away from the rest of the resort, just feet from the sea. The four treatment rooms have views over the water. After your restful treatment, you can relax on the open verandah, sit in the Jacuzzi on the cliff edge and snack on delicious healthy spa snacks like fruit and vegetable kebabs.

For Children

This beautiful resort is quiet and self-contained but with enough activities to keep the whole family happy. You and your children can sail Hobie Cats and windsurfers, waterski, snorkel, dive and take part in the other activities included in your all-inclusive holiday rate.

A shaded sandbox has a full Jungle Gym for little guests, plus there is a games room equipped with computers, board games and a large TV showing age-appropriate movies.

The free Ceebee Kids Club is run by experienced team members who make sure children have fun with activities such as crab races, mocktail lessons and designing wind chimes. Babysitters can be arranged at extra cost.

Nelson's Dockyard
One of the Caribbean's finest historic sites, the dockyard was home base for Britain's Leeward-Islands fleet under the command of Admiral Horatio Nelson. The restored dockyard is now designated as a national park.

Shirley Heights
Accessed by car or on foot via the Lookout Trial, Shirley Heights is a former fortress with fantastic views across the Caribbean to Montserrat and Guadaloupe. On Sundays there is steel band and reggae music.

Eco-Tour
Explore the natural side of Antigua with experienced guides who will lead you through a half-day filled with kayaking, snorkelling, powerboating and hiking. You could also snorkel and swim with the rays in the crystal-clear ocean pool known as Stingray City.

Zip Line Canopy Tour
Get your adrenaline pumping on the Zip-Line Canopy Tour which is just a few minutes taxi ride from the resort and perfectly safe even for children.

Rooms & Suites

Overview

All accommodations have breathtaking views which can be enjoyed through the large, floor-to-ceiling windows and verandahs or ground-floor terraces. Elegant suites and rooms offer air-conditioning, over-sized soaking tubs, wood-panelled ceilings, refrigerators and high-speed Internet access. In keeping with the ambiance of the resort, there are no TVs in the rooms but there are two dedicated TV rooms on the property.

Sleeping arrangements are for a couple sharing a king-sized beds but for larger groups, rooms and suites can be linked together, king-size beds can be converted to twins and couches can be made into beds for young children.

On The Beach

Deluxe Rooms: Located a short walk from the bar and restaurant, some rooms have terraces that lead straight onto the sand, whilst other have verandahs looking out over the land and sea.

Junior Suite: A stone's throw from the water of the resort's Surf Beach, Junior Suites have a bedroom section, sunken living room with sofas, floor to ceiling glass doors, verandah or terrace, bathroom with double sinks, big bathtub and large shower,

On The Bluff

One &Two Bedroom Bluff Suites: A few steps higher up the bluff, overlooking Surf Beach, these suites are more secluded. Split level interiors have a large living room, garden patio, hammock, breakfast nook and dining terrace with panoramic views.

Bluff Room: These rooms are set into the rocky edge of the bluff and have the same configuration as a One Bedroom Bluff Suite but without the large living room.

Hufford Collection

Terrace Room: Unique accommodation in a private location at the very top of the bluff with breathtaking views over the beach and sea. The large 567 sq ft terrace is perfect for dining and relaxing and has an elevated Jacuzzi.

Cliff Suite: With a spacious living room and large patio with infinity soaking pool and views of Grace Bay beach, this suite is fantastic. The separate bedroom has a king-size bed, marble bathroom and second terrace overlooking Surf Beach.

Grace & Morris Bay Suites: The most luxurious of Curtain Bluff's suites occupying the third floor of a Carribean style villa, right on the resort's Surf Beach. Both suites have marble bathrooms, a bedroom and adjoining living room which lead out onto a sweeping verandah with a Jacuzzi and sun chairs.

Restaurants

The Tamarind Tree: The main restaurant with a beautiful terrace shaded by a grand tamarind tree. Delicious breakfasts include dishes such as Eggs Benedict, banana pancakes and traditional island dishes. In the evenings, dine by candlelight and savour the five-course menu which changes every night. A different band plays each evening as you enjoy fresh locally caught fish, delicious meats, tasty desserts and healthy dining options.

The Sea Grape: Dine right on the sand, a few feet from the gently lapping water’s edge. The Sea Grape serves sumptuous lunch buffets, including a weekly beach barbecue lunch accompanied by a live steel-drum band.  In the evenings, tiki torches are lit and Italian/Antiguan influenced cuisine is served.
