Amazing top end 5* hotel in Downtown Dubai.

20 mins from Airport. The entrance for cars is like a multistory car park and then you arrive and are greeted by welcoming faces and whisked into a massive bright lobby. Check in was at personal desks and you are given a local cool drink and cold cloth. Eventhough this property has over 250 the only time it seemed busy was at breakfast time. We had a Pool View Room on 19th floor. The Room had everything a 5* hotel should offer but there was an personal welcome note with chocolates and then later a fruit bowl was delivered. Yes, you know you are downtown when you look out the window but if you press a button your blackout blind is lowered and you would never know where you are. Dining - They have Nine7One which is open all day for BLD. Breakfast is buffet and hot dishes brought to your table. If on HB you dine here and some nights its a themed buffet and other nights you pick off an ALC menu. When I say buffet, this is no normal buffet. There is everything you can think of and live cooking stations and chefs come to the table to see what they can prepare for you. The staff also provide free mineral water for the table. Nine7One has indoor sitting aswell as tables around a water feature which is situated in an open courtyard. If you are sitting in here, you would never know you are in Dubai. As an extra the hotel does have a Japanese and Indian restaurant on site. There is a Full Spa and Outdoor Pool which eventhough is surrounded by sky scrappers they have done a good job of setting trees around it to make it look more appealing. Location is great for Bur Khalifa and Dubai Mall, - 5 mins in taxi. If you want to get to the JBR area and the Palm, its 20/30 mins away depending on traffic. Taxis are so reasonable in Dubai now though so easy to get about. I would recommend this to anyone planning on sightseeing and shopping and maybe those who are twinning with a beach stay. I could not fault the hotel at all and I am fussy.
