*Our chauffeur will pick you up from home (anywhere on the UK mainland) and take you to the airport or your UK hotel. Depending on where you live, this will be either a road transfer from your home to a London airport, or a road transfer to a regional airport for a connecting flight, to be advised at the time of booking.

CONSERVATION
We’re taking steps to minimise our impact on the planet wherever we can – and we’re always looking for ways we can do more.
Single-use plastics is a big issue when it comes to travel. We’ve removed all single-use plastics from our river cruise ships (a move which has saved an incredible 20,000 plastic bottles per year) and are working towards offering reusable branded water bottles on some of our tours, as well.*
Closer to home, we ensure that our brochures are all fully recyclable thanks to water-soluble sealants and vegetable-based inks. Sixty-one per cent of all our mailing is compostable and we are working hard to make sure the remaining 39% will be recyclable, too.**
We’re also going paperless with all of our documentation. Throughout our supply chain we work with suppliers who care, suppliers like d-flo who help us provide customer travel documents. d-flo are committed to reducing carbon emissions by sending travel documents electronically. Sending our travel documents by email equates to 90% lower carbon emissions than printing and posting does.*** So, over the tens of thousands we send here at Titan, that’s a huge change we’ve made towards carbon reduction.
d-flo run a programme to offset email carbon, too, working with Ecologi, a UK based social enterprise, who support a wide range of carbon reduction projects. Every year, d-flo plant trees on Titan’s behalf, as a valued partner, through its TREE(3) programme to make an ongoing contribution in the fight against climate change. All booking confirmations, invoices and itineraries will be sent digitally, unless paper copies are specifically requested.

WILDLIFE
We have many incredible wildlife experiences on our escorted tours from African safaris to visiting animal sanctuaries and rehabilitation centres – and two thirds of our customers believe that animal welfare is of the utmost importance to them.
We understand the concerns about the impacts of tourism and how animals are treated. Which is why we want to BE better and not only work with partners who treat animals well in their care, but who also support animal conservation, rehabilitation, and research. And we also endeavour to support the conservation of habitats, natural areas and wildlife – and want to minimise damage to them.
We will not offer elephant rides, dolphin swimming or any wildlife experiences where we believe animals will be mistreated and neglected.
COMMUNITY
At the heart of our business and our holidays is a sense of community. We have an important role in ensuring that we are a responsible travel company that respects authentic culture and traditions, enhances historic heritage, protects the communities we visit and empowers local people – giving them opportunities and the chance to benefit from tourism in their areas.
We believe it is essential to avoid any kind of negative impact on the destinations we visit. Several of our escorted tours give back to the local community and we strive to work with partners who support social enterprise projects in their areas. From building schools and feeding over 800 children daily in Zimbabwe to meeting local Armenian families in their homes who prepare a traditional meal for our customers, we want to continue championing these local schemes.
