Climate Information

Kefalonia offers a typically Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild rainy winters.

The hottest months are July and August with averages temperatures of 25 degrees Celsius and an average temperature of 11 degrees in the coldest month of January.

October to April are the rainiest months.

Melissani Cave
One of the most popular tourist destinations in Kefalonia, Melissani Cave features a lake and forest within the cave itself! At noon time, when the sun is directly overhead, sunlight striking the stunningly blue water creates a magical atmosphere with the whole of the cave lit up with blue light.

Fiscado Village
This beautiful village is 50 Km north of Argostoli, and is a typical traditional Greek fishing village with plenty of shops, bars and tavernas. The local houses are painted in different colours which adds to the charming ambience of the bay. Nearby there are pebble beaches and interesting coves to discover.

Myrtos Beach
Many travel magazines rate Myrtos beach as one of the best beaches in Greece. It has been awarded several times for its cleanliness and natural beauty. The beach has a back drop of stunning white rocky cliffs which lead down to the sea shore.
