Estoril Coast

Luxury hotels plus excellent beaches and golf resorts

This stylish and fashionable area is located on the beautiful coastline that extends to the west of Lisbon. The Estoril Coast is famed for having excellent beaches, a motor-racing circuit, a casino and wonderful golf courses.

Lisbon is the gateway to the Estoril Coast and it’s a perfect place for a few days away. Here you will find that the past meets the present – modern life and designer shopping versus medieval streets and bustling squares. There’s plenty to do for all the family including a visit to the Oceanario de Lisboa to see the fish and amphibians, a trip to the stunning Mosteiro dos Jeronimos where Vasco da Gama is interred or take a leisurely walk in the Alfama district to enjoy interesting architecture and stunning views.

Cascais has grown into a bustling seafront village where holidaymakers can visit the museums, historic forts, enjoy golf on the immaculately maintained courses, relax on the beach or take to the sparkling waters to enjoy activities such as windsurfing, sailing, snorkelling and scuba diving. When it’s time to dine, there’s a wide array of eateries with everything from pavement cafes to top-class restaurants available. Dine al fresco in order to soak up more of the sun and indulge in a spot of people watching.

Keen golfers love this area as it has a great selection of golf courses which are easily accessible from Lisbon. Top courses include Penha Longa Atlantic South and North, Quinta da Beloura and the challenging Quinta da Marinha. One of our recommendations for golfers is the five-star Hotel Quinta da Marinha Resort. Please contact us for full details and rates.
