Do something different, it’s good for the soul…
Why not combine a cheeky few nights away with some festive shopping. Here are three fabulous cities to visit some of Europe’s best Christmas Markets:
Bratislava’s Christmas markets remain true to their original concept, put together in the historic town centre, they have all the little necessities to create an ideal Christmas atmosphere. Try some traditional Slovakia fayre such as loke pancakes or strudel.
The pretty market town of Bremen is lit with Christmas lights and styled in a traditional Christmas theme. For those of you who like your sausage, Bremen will delight you, with plenty of food stalls not forgetting the popular stalls selling the famous Gluhwein and feuerzangenbowle mulled wine drinks!
Bruges is a magical city, especially in deep winter when its cobbled streets are alive with festivities, glowing with Christmas lights. To add to the atmosphere, an ice rink is built on the Bruges Market Square close to the many food and festive gift stalls, which offer traditional seasonal delights. Don’t forget to visit the Chocolate Museum and Pralinette, the largest and best praline store!
