Designer Travel gave me a great deal and I didn't need to haggle

Having cruised a few times and booked with various travel agents I came to the conclusion that all the agents seemed to share a common apathy. It seemed to me that I could never reach the same person twice, promised call backs never came, and the paperwork didn't reflect the answers I provided to the long list of questions. In short the cruise was great but the booking.....a nightmare!. Quite by chance my wife and I met Sheila Cooper of Designer Travel on a Canaries cruise and the conversation inevitably led to my annoyance with 'school leaver' travel agent employees and my view of their shortfalls. "There's a better way to book" Sheila said. "Call me next time, and I'll show you my way", and so that's what I did. It was a last minute decision to take a cruise on the run up to Christmas and we had a fixed idea about our choice of ship, cabin and dining requirements. One phone call to Sheila got the booking underway and a few more calls, several in the evenings, fine tuned the booking. Each phone call Sheila answered personally without the call being left in a queue or being transferred to a 'school leaver'. I thought only the bigger agents could offer the really good deals........not so, Designer Travel gave me a great deal and I didn't need to haggle. Each call was like speaking with a friend and her final call was simply to wish us 'Bon Voyage'
