Umaid Bhawan Palace is the last of the great palaces of India and remains the residence of the Jodhpur royal family. Built between 1928 and 1943, the palace is perched on Chittar Hill within 26 acres of lush gardens and has breathtaking views of the sand dunes, the Blue City and Mehrangarh Fort. Don’t miss the Heritage Walk which provides and enjoyable and insightful tour around the palace as well as a visit to the musuem housed on the property.
