About Amanyara

This Aman group property is an exclusive and stylish Caribbean hideaway bordering 1000 metres of soft white sandy beach and the spectacular reefs of the Northwest Point Marine National Park, so snorkelling and diving are a must-do.

Entry to the resort is through a large reception pavilion that opens onto a central reflecting pond. Surrounded by mahogany trees, the pond is framed on one side by the library and boutique and on the other side by the restaurant and bar. The circular bar offers a dramatic soaring roof and sea views fronted by the 50-metre main swimming pool and sun deck.

There’s so much to see and do in this beautiful part of the world. Guests to Amanyara can explore an array of reefs and enjoy spectacular diving opportunities in the clear waters close to the resort. Waterskiing, kiteboarding, Hobie-cats, kayaks and paddleboards are also available. Of course, you could always just take it easy on the peaceful beach and spend time with your toes in the sand.

The hotel has a shimmering infinity pool and plenty of sunloungers and umbrellas. There’s also a library, boutique, two tennis courts, a fitness centre and a golf simulator.

Ultimate relaxation awaits at Amanyara’s spa which encompasses four treatment pavilions, a relaxation pavilion and a yoga sala set around a tranquil pond. A good range of massages, therapies and beauty treatments are on offer so you can indulge yourself and de-stress.

Children are welcome and the Amanyara offers a tailor-made children’s programme for young guests of all ages.

More About Diving and Snorkelling

Located directly in front of the resort, approximately 500 metres from the beach are the remarkable coral reef walls of the Northwest Point Marine National Park. This five-mile fringing reef system that runs parallel to the coastline is dominated by boulder star coral, elkhorn coral and gorgonians of various species that are home to schooling fish, turtles, spotted eagle rays and much more.

All dive sites in Northwest Point Marine National Park are, weather-permitting, a three-to-eight-minute boat ride from Amanyara’s beach. The fully-equipped Dive Pavilion at Amanyara also offers a range of scuba diving courses suited to all levels.

Snorkelling can be enjoyed just off the beach at Amanyara. Snorkelling equipment is available, and instruction is offered to novices. A complimentary snorkelling trip departs daily from the beach.

Facilities & Amenities

Rooms & Suites

Pavilions

40 Pavilions situated in various locations within the resort. All pavilions are identical in layout and design yet differentiated by location, so there are pavilions by the tranquil pond, on the oceanfront or with ocean views.

Each pavilion has an entrance terrace that houses two daybeds, sliding glass doors leading to a central king-size bed. There is also a writing desk, bar, TV/DVD/CD player and three terraces with daybeds and a sunken table.

Selected pavilions have two bedrooms and some have a private pool.

Villas

Each villa sits on more than half a hectare of lush terrain and emulates on a more intimate scale the Amanyara resort as a whole.

The three, four or five-bedroom villas are situated either along the oceanfront, overlooking a tranquil pond or nestled in island vegetation. Each is centred by either a rectangular or square infinity-edged swimming pool in black volcanic rock surrounded by extensive hardwood decking. The free-standing bedroom pavilions are similar to those of the resort, some with outdoor bathtubs and showers. There's a large living and dining pavilion, outdoor dining sala and fully equipped kitchen. A personal cook and housekeeper take care of all guests needs.

A few villas have an additional bedroom suitable for up to four children and a nanny. Guests also have access to a golf buggy to assist with getting around the resort.

Restaurants

Guests can dine indoors or outside by the central pond. Specialities include freshly caught seafood and organic produce from the resort’s aquaponic vegetable garden.

There’s also the Beach Club which serves delicious raw food dishes as well as cuisine baked in a stone hearth oven – absolutely divine!

For a special occasion, or simply ‘just because…’ you can also enjoy a starlit romantic dinner in a secluded cove.
