My 3-Night Stay with Constantinou Bros Hotels

Earlier this month, I had the incredible opportunity to visit Paphos, Cyprus, on a familiarisation trip sponsored by the Constantinou Bros hotel group for the stay, and TUI for the flights. TUI also operate the beautiful Pioneer Beach Hotel—one of the standout properties I was fortunate enough to explore.
Over the course of four sun-soaked days, I immersed myself in luxury, hospitality, and history—touring an inspiring collection of hotels, discovering ancient landmarks, and tasting authentic Cypriot cuisine and wine. Whether you're planning a romantic getaway, a relaxing solo escape, or a multi-generational family trip, there's something in Paphos for everyone.

Day 1

Arrival in Paradise

Touching down in Paphos, the warmth of the Cypriot sun was only matched by the welcome I received at the Asimina Suites Hotel. Set along the sparkling Mediterranean coastline, this adults-only, all-suite property immediately impressed with its lush gardens, stylish interiors, and attentive service.
After a seamless check-in, I was treated to welcome drinks and a delicious buffet dinner—which, in true Cypriot spirit, turned into a relaxed evening of flowing conversation and a few more drinks! Eventually, I settled into my suite with panoramic pool and sea views—a perfect start to the trip.
The food that evening set the tone for the stay: fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The peaceful ambiance made it easy to unwind and prepare for the busy days ahead.

Day 2

Touring the Collection

The following day was packed with site visits to several properties under the Constantinou Bros umbrella, each offering something truly unique:
• Asimina Suites Hotel – An adults-only haven of tranquillity, this all-suite property impressed me with its elegant, contemporary design and premium, all-inclusive experience. The attention to detail here is exceptional—ideal for honeymooners or anyone looking for a touch of luxury.
• Pioneer Beach Hotel (operated by TUI) – Offering a slightly more laid-back atmosphere while maintaining high standards, this hotel is perfect for couples or older guests. The beachfront location and serene vibe made it a standout.
• Athena Royal Beach Hotel – This hotel strikes a beautiful balance between leisure and luxury, with a mature clientele, plenty of facilities, and direct access to the beach promenade. The wellness centre and large pools are especially worth mentioning.
• Athena Beach Hotel – A stylish and family-friendly resort that ticks all the boxes for a relaxing Mediterranean break. With multiple pools, a beachfront setting, and a variety of room options—including swim-up rooms and private plunge pool suites—it caters effortlessly to both couples and families. Dining is a highlight here, with a mix of buffet and à la carte options, and the service was consistently warm and attentive. Whether you’re lounging by the adults-only pool, enjoying the splash zone with little ones, or indulging in a spa treatment, the Athena Beach Hotel offers a well-rounded and memorable stay.
Each property had its own charm, but what united them was the quality of service, elegant design, and prime beachfront locations. The Constantinou Bros brand truly understands the different types of holidaymakers and delivers something special for each one.

Day 3

Culture, Countryside & Cypriot Charm

After immersing ourselves in luxury and relaxation, it was time to experience more of what Cyprus is known for—its rich culture, deep-rooted history, and welcoming village life.
Morning: Aphrodite’s Rock & Kourion Amphitheatre
We began the day with a visit to the legendary Aphrodite’s Rock, a breathtaking stretch of coastline believed to be the mythological birthplace of the goddess of love. The sun glinting off the turquoise water and the peaceful sound of the waves made for a truly serene start.
Next, we travelled to the Kourion Ancient Amphitheatre, one of Cyprus’s most awe-inspiring archaeological sites. Perched on a cliff with panoramic sea views, the theatre is remarkably well preserved. It was easy to imagine the crowds gathered here in ancient times, enjoying performances under the open sky.
Afternoon: Omodos Village, Wine & Monastery Life
From coast to countryside, we made our way inland to Omodos, a postcard-perfect village tucked into the Troodos foothills. With its cobbled lanes, whitewashed houses, and bursts of bougainvillaea, Omodos is as charming as they come.
Our first stop was the Ktima Gerolemo Winery, where we enjoyed a relaxed and informative wine tasting session. From crisp whites to full-bodied reds and a decadent sweet dessert wine, each bottle told a story of the land—and yes, a few came home with us!
We then explored the Timios Stavros Monastery, a spiritually significant site that houses a relic of the Holy Cross. Peaceful and atmospheric, it offered a quiet moment of reflection in beautifully preserved surroundings.
Lunch was served at Stou Kir Yianni Guesthouse, a rustic taverna serving traditional Cypriot fare. From freshly baked bread and olive tapenade to slow-roasted meats and rich vegetable stews, every bite was packed with flavour. Combined with local wine, good company, and the village setting, it was one of the most memorable meals of the trip.
Evening: Return to Asimina Suites
We returned to Asimina Suites Hotel full of good food, great wine, and even better memories. As the sun dipped into the sea, I sat by the water reflecting on everything we’d seen and experienced—a day of deep connection to the soul of Cyprus.

Day 4

Leisure, Local Culture & Lasting Impressions

On our final day, I had time to unwind and enjoy the facilities at leisure. Whether lounging poolside, indulging in a spa treatment, or strolling the coastal promenade, every moment was designed for calm and contentment.
Before heading home, I also made a short trip into Paphos Old Town—a UNESCO World Heritage Site brimming with charm, archaeological ruins, and lovely cafés. It was the perfect way to end the trip: a final taste of Cyprus’s rich past blended with its vibrant present.

Final Thoughts
This familiarisation trip was more than just a hotel inspection—it was a celebration of what makes Cyprus special. From the polished hospitality of Constantinou Bros Hotels to the heartfelt traditions found in its villages, Cyprus offers something for every kind of traveller.
With luxury stays, rich cultural experiences, and unforgettable scenery, it’s easy to see why Paphos continues to capture the hearts of those who visit. I’m incredibly grateful to Constantinou Bros Hotels and TUI for making this experience possible—and I can't wait to help others discover the magic of Cyprus for themselves.
