Jamaica

Jamaica

Jamaica is such a stunning destination and probably one of the hardest Caribbean Islands to convince people to visit as there is a stigma that it is a violent and unsafe place to visit and I can say from my own experience that this is not the case - I normally say to my customers that they are more at risk in the UK! When I flew into Montego Bay, I will never forget the palm trees waving at me and what a welcome!  When we arrived at the airport we were given fresh flowers and there was a small group of musicians playing their thing to welcome us and from that moment I knew I was going to love Jamaica. As soon as we got to our hotel and given a rum punch and a cold towel, the holiday started and immediately felt so relaxed. The standard of service in the hotels is extremely high and the staff are very friendly and always serve you with a smile.  There is a wide choice of hotels to suit everyone's budget .  Jamaica is suitable for couples, singles, and families. Jamaica-Inn-6There are plenty of beach activities and water sports and also is a great place to scuba dive, snorkel, wind surf and water ski. Jamaica is the third largest of the Caribbean Islands and is surrounded by natural beauty from it's beautiful white sandy beaches and crystal clear water to the Blue Mountains.  There is so much to see and do here and the famous Dunn's River Falls , where you ascend a 600 foot waterfall is a must which is one of the islands most visited attractions and is a great way to cool off from the hot sun but remember to take trainers to protect your feet.  You can also visit the Blue Mountains 4,000 feet up and enjoying the panoramic views which are unforgettable.  There are also many historical landmarks in Jamaica which will take you back hundreds of years.  You may just rather relax on the beach enjoying a rum punch and listening to Bob Marley's music as this his his birth place and he is honoured everywhere you go. The flight time to Jamaica is approximately 9 hours and 5 hours behind us.  The climate is hot all year round although it is recommended to avoid July to October as the weather is changeable and is the hurricane season. I hope you consider Jamaica as it really is a fantastic destination and you can be sure of a warm welcome as the Jamaicans are extremely warm and friendly people.
