The Rock Hotel

Gibraltar’s oldest established hotel which has welcomed many famous names in the past

The Rock Hotel

Hotel Description

Built in 1932 by the Marquis of Bute, The Rock Hotel offers excellent service and standards plus wonderful views across the Bay of Gibraltar, the Spanish mainland and the Rif Mountains.

The Rock Hotel

The Rock is Gibraltar’s oldest established hotel and has welcomed many famous names in the past including Sir Winston Churchill and Errol Flynn. A refurbishment has seen this iconic establishment restored to its former glory and guests will enjoy the colonial feel and art deco style coupled with modern amenities and gracious service.

There’s plenty to see and do on Gibraltar including original Rock tours, dolphin watching, the Gibraltar Museum and the beautiful botanical gardens.

The Rock has an outdoor seawater swimming pool which opens seasonally and is located just across the road from the hotel building. Enjoy a wonderful meal at the restaurant before taking in the glorious views over a drink on the Wisteria Terrace. Our top tip…try the English afternoon tea; delightful!

Rooms and suites are beautifully appointed and enjoy panoramic views over the Bay and Strait of Gibraltar.
