There is an outdoor swimming pool, a heated indoor pool and a children’s pool, plus a Jacuzzi with fabulous views over the Ria Formosa.

The spa has a gym, Jacuzzi, steam baths, saunas, and six treatment rooms offering a wide selection of treatments and massages.  For something a little more energetic, there are two tennis courts and an instructor can give you tips to improve you serve if you wish.

A range of sporting activities are available, plus there are several excellent golf courses nearby – a must for golf enthusiasts!

Experiencing the beauty of nature is easy in this wonderful resort - you could explore on horseback or bike through one of the trails. The Sao Laurenco Lagoon is excellent for bird watching, and the Ria Formosa Natural Park is not to be missed.

The beach is just 300 metres form the hotel and has lounge chairs, towels and beach umbrellas reserved for Quinta do Lago guests during high season. A vast array of watersports can also be enjoyed if you want a change of pace.

The Algarve has colourful and traditional markets. You could visit Loule and Quarteira, or the fish market in Olhao. There are also various group tours to discover more about the Algarve's culture. You can learn more about the Roman and Arab settlers whilst visiting the unique monuments and interesting museums.

A water park is located very near to the hotel - great for young and old alike to enjoy the thrills and splashes in the sunshine. There's also theme parks, go-karting, dolphin spotting or mini-golf.

The luxurious Royal Suite is located on the top floor and offers glorious views of the Ocean and Ria Formosa Natural Park from the panoramic terrace. The suite has two bedrooms with bathrooms, a dressing room, dining and living room, kitchenette and a heated private pool.

Brisa do Mar Restaurant: Serves traditional Portuguese specialities and international cuisine. You can dine indoors or on the terrace which has magnificent views over the beach and Formosa Estuary.

Ca d’Oro Restaurant: Is open for dinner only and offers delectable Italian dishes in a slightly more formal setting. It has a wide variety of excellent wines to complement your meal.

Golf

Hotel Quinta do Lago is well situated on one of the most prestigious golf courses in Europe and there is easy access to many more championship courses as well.

  • Quinta do Lago Golf Courses: Are rated amongst the top 20 in Europe and have hosted eight editions of the Portuguese Open.
  • Vale do Lobo: Has two courses, The Ocean and The Royal.
  • Vilamoura: Offers seven championship golf courses.  All are spectacular and unique, but the most famous must be the Oceanico Victoria which has hosted the Portugal Masters since 2007.
