Kamalame Cay, Staniard Creek, The Bahamas
About Kamalame Cay
This award winning hotel offers barefoot chic and Bahamian living. Kamalame’s utterly private suites and villas are tucked into 96-acres of swaying palms and flowering tropical foliage.
It’s a lush oasis ringed by three miles of deserted, white-sand beach and colourful coral gardens. The warm, turquoise waters just off shore teem with manta ray, parrotfish and blue tangs.
More About Kamalame Cay
Kamalame Cay is a family run private island hideaway which has just 36 rooms, suites and villas. There are three miles of private beach to explore, a flower jungle, tennis courts and a outdoor freshwater pool. Pure relaxation can be found at the overwater spa.
The dining room and lounge are found in the Great House and getting around is easy with fat tire bicycles and personal golf carts available to guests.
Diving enthusiasts will be right at home here. The world’s third largest yet least unexplored barrier reef lies adjacent to the shores of the resort and offers coral gardens, wrecks, walls, caverns and blue holes. There are near vertical wall dives with dramatic ledges and caves and shallow back-reefs abounding with reef fish and invertebrates.
The resident scuba diving professionals offer a range of PADI certification courses and excursions for divers, non-divers, snorkellers and children.
You can also get out on the clear waters on a kayak or stand-up paddleboard – great fun!
