Fairmont Maldives, Sirru Fen Fushi

Sirru Fen Fushi or ‘Secret Water Island’ is one of the most exclusive islands in the Maldives’ 26 atolls. The island measures approximately 16,000 sq m and features one of the largest lagoons in the Maldives with pristine white sands leading to the glimmering turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.

The beach, over-water and jungle villas provide everything you need for a comfortable stay and showcase locally inspired designs alongside modern comforts and amenities.

Experiences available include sunset dolphin cruises on the resort’s private yacht, private BBQs, local cultural visits or diving and snorkelling to explore the 9km long house reef that surrounds the resort. The island also houses the Maldives’ first underwater sculptural art museum created by British artist Jason deCaires Taylor.

Families are very well catered for with a Toddler’s play garden, Kid’s Club and Teen Town for young guests. Other activities available are sea kayaks, hobie cats, jet skis, Thai boxing classes, yoga, tennis and football or simply take time to enjoy the 200m long swimming pool which transverses the length of the island.

For a spot of indulgence, head to the Willow Stream Spa which restores mind and body through massages, facials and scrubs. There’s also a 25m serenity pool for a calm and relaxing dip.
