Relaxed 4 star resort edging a white sand beach
A tropical, casual style of resort with a good selection of bars and eateries.
Rooms & Suites
A bright refurbished 4 star resort reopened Oct 2012. The property has a total of 297 rooms set in a garden of exotic tropical plants. Walls and ceilings are painted bright white with orange room doors. The rooms have a ‘fresh’ feel to them with contrasting fabrics in bright colours. When I visited the hotel it had just re -opened I liked the rooms and bathrooms (which were surprisingly big and well equipped for a 4 star property) but the passage ways leading to the rooms needed further repair work and finishing off. However the ‘retro fridge’ look for mini bars at a sensible waist high level was a nice touch. I would suggest clients go for the superior rooms which normally face the sea to avoid rear facing rooms.
There are 3 categories of accommodation:
The Standard Rooms (30 sq m) can accommodate two adults.
The Superior Rooms (42 sq m) can accommodate up to three adults or two adults and two children up to 12 yrs.
The Family Units (72 & 80 sq m) looked very suitable for family groups with two bedrooms, bathroom with separate bathtub and shower. The unit can accommodate up to three adults or two adults plus up to three children up to 12yrs.

Half Board, All Inclusive and Dining in Sun Resort Hotels in Mauritius.
Most of the Mauritian Sun Resorts offer a choice of half board and an all inclusive option. The all inclusive option normally includes most drinks and the opportunity of dining in all restaurants including the a la carte ones (with only some of the selections carrying a supplement) whereas the half board offer is more restrictive and you may only receive a credit to dine a la carte. Each property could be slightly different and of course all arrangements are reviewed from time to time so it is wise to look at the options in detail and see what exactly they include before booking. It is also wise to check (if all inclusive) if there is a time deadline in the evening when this facility ceases for alcoholic drinks. The Le Touessrok does not offer an all inclusive option.

When entering the resort one is struck immediately by the openness and simplicity of the property.
