Barlen’s beach restaurant is situated on the shore of the bay, it is built from wood and hatch and has an ‘Asian inspired’ interior. Asian and European cuisine is on offer and when we dined there one evening the food was perfect. The restaurant is overseen by Barlen himself who has been at the hotel since the early days.
Safran – the focal point of this restaurant is the open kitchen with tandoori ovens decorated with mother of pearl producing varieties of Indian bread, appetisers and main courses. A brilliant menu has been produced by Chef Ramesh Bundi.
Three-Nine-Eight offers cuisines of nine countries on three floors presented by eight show kitchens described as a ‘culinary theatre’. Serves breakfast and dinners.
Sega Bar is situated at the resort’s main pool, serving drinks, cocktails and light snacks all day.
Paul et Virginie and Sands Bar – whilst enjoying a day of water sports and relaxing on the beaches at Ile aux Cerfs you can enjoy a relaxed lunch barefoot at this restaurant.
Crusoe’s restaurant and Robinson’s Bar is situated at the resort’s other romantic desert island of Ilot Mangenie whereyou can enjoy fresh local food and drinks served beachside under the trees (We had our lunch here during our short visit which was delicious with wonderful service).

Half Board, All Inclusive and Dining in Sun Resort Hotels in Mauritius.
Most of the Mauritian Sun Resorts offer a choice of half board and an all inclusive option. The all inclusive option normally includes most drinks and the opportunity of dining in all restaurants including the a la carte ones (with only some of the selections carrying a supplement) whereas the half board offer is more restrictive and you may only receive a credit to dine a la carte. Each property could be slightly different and of course all arrangements are reviewed from time to time so it is wise to look at the options in detail and see what exactly they include before booking. It is also wise to check (if all inclusive) if there is a time deadline in the evening when this facility ceases for alcoholic drinks. The Le Touessrok does not offer an all inclusive option.
