Jardin Tropical Hotel – South Tenerife
Moorish architecture blending beautifully with sub-tropical gardens
This fresh 4 star white Moorish style hotel covers a huge area set in tropical gardens with over 300 species of trees and over 16, 000 plants.
Rooms & Suites
Over 400 rooms and suites are laid out in seven areas named after plants. All rooms have full facilities.
Standard Rooms are either sea view or without; they all have been recently refurbished.
The Junior Suites are more luxurious with high quality fittings and impressionist paintings. The living area forms part of the one room.
The Suites have similar fittings but larger bathroom with separate toilet, and large bedroom and living area. The living area is separate unlike the junior suite.
Both types of suite have tea-making facilities, quite unique in Spain/Tenerife, and also sun loungers ‘all made up’ on each terrace.
The Jardin Tropical is noted for its food and there are 5 restaurants to choose from:
Las Mimosas, an extremely attractive buffet restaurant offering a wide range of food, the largest I have seen including low fat options. A selection of main courses is prepared in front of guests. Half board guests can use this buffet.
Eizo, an a la carte restaurant open for dinners serving a selection of japanese dishes and can be used by half board guests.
Los Cucuruchos, set in tropical gardens beside the pool, offers light snacks and international cuisine throughout the day and can be used by half board guests as an alternative to dinner.
Las Rocas, a speciality seafood restaurant, situated down at the Beach Club on the sea front, where the various seafood and fish dishes are cooked to perfection. You can choose live lobster from a tank during the day to eat in the evening. You can also enjoy a drink or ice cream in this area during the day while admiring the sea view.
El Patio, famous for its gastronomy and voted ‘Best Restaurant in Tenerife’ for its creative and outstanding food, it also enjoys an extraordinary wine cellar. Open for Dinner only. Half board clients receive a discount.
There are five bars in the hotel each with its own style and atmosphere; including a Juice Bar with a great variety of freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices as well as milk shakes and non-alcoholic cocktails.
Facilities and things to do.
The pools dominate the huge garden sunbathing areas; a large freshwater pool (Tropical Pool) with complimentary sun beds, towels and parasols.
The sea water pool down at the seafront (Las Rocas Pool) is supplied by a channel of water from the ocean, the water flows through two small pools connected by a river 90 metres in length.
The Biocentre offers a simple range of health and beauty services including Fitness Centre and Turkish Steam Bath.
Golf can be arranged from a choice of several courses in the South Tenerife.

The Jardin Tropical is a very good 4 star plus hotel. The hotel employs 3 full time resident painters using authentic clay white paint to create the constant true white bright colour of the buildings and passages. Every meal option is outstanding and you are not aware at all of the size of the hotel because of the clever design. The hotel has retained a number of repeat guests over the years, many just enjoying the gardens and facilities in the hotel and not bothering to venture outside. The area around the hotel is quite busy but you are not aware of this when inside the hotel complex. It is also very near to both Waterparks.
The Jardin Tropical is located only 12miles from the main Tenerife South Airport and can be successfully combined with a holiday in La Gomera or the North of Tenerife, just ask for further details.
