COMO UMA UBUD RESORT
COMO Uma Ubud is a peaceful hideaway on the outskirts of Ubud, set amongst dense vegetation and offering scenic views across the steep valley. The resort’s contemporary luxury mixed with local design and materials gives it a distinct Balinese feel. The narrow paths that wind between the rooms and suites and their tropical gardens give Uma Ubud an intimate local village feel yet beneath the alang-alang thatched roofs are stylish, contemporary villas, some with infinity edge pools and stunning Tjampuhan valley views.
The resort offers a complimentary shuttle service into Ubud, which is a short drive, for all guests to enjoy the restaurants, galleries, temples, shops and atmosphere of this wonderful town.
Highlights of the rooms include the chic uncluttered interiors, sleek black and white bathrooms and abundance of natural light. Suites have the addition of sitting rooms, dining rooms and the Pool Suites have a wonderful plunge pool with views over the jungle.
There are 46 rooms and villas in total at Uma Ubud. The 14 bright Terrace Rooms have voile draped four-poster beds and large private terraces. The 10 Garden Rooms have open-air bathrooms and a comfortable terrace with fish pond that connects them to the bedroom. The Uma Suite has a separate sitting room, dining room and bedroom and a private terrace with sweeping views. The three Pool Suites have the addition of a plunge pool with jungle views. DESCRIPTION OF PORTS
Benoa is the main cruise port on the island of Bali. There are numerous places that can be accessed from here including the party-centric Kuta, Nusa Dua the popular beach resort with its luxury hotels and restaurants as well as coffee plantations and rice terraces. Trips to temples, palaces, markets and a bat cave are some of the many things also on offer.
To the south of Madura lies a small island, Giligenteng, a community of four peaceful little fishing villages, where everybody knows each other. The authentic fishing village of Bringsang consists of one small street, a mosque and a few local shops. The beach here is really beautiful with clear water and pristine white sand.
Probolinggo is a port town whose main activity is fishing. It is also the nearest town of any size to the Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park on the east coast of Java, and a stopping point on the way to the Gunung Bromo volcano.
North of Bali, the Lovina tourist area stretches over 12 km and consists of a string of coastal villages: Kaliasem, Kalibukbuk, Anturan, Tukad Mungga, collectively know as Lovina. Lovina’s sandy beaches are quite lovely, the sea is very calm here and safe for swimming.
Sengiggi is Lombok’s traditional tourist resort with a large bay forming the centre of the resort. A spectacular sunset can be viewed from Segiggi Beach; the bright orange sun sinks into the ocean with Bali’s Mt. Agung volcano silhouetted on the horizon.
This is the perfect island getaway, a small resort with fine white sand, colourful tropical fish and starfish. From here the ship’s zodiac can take you to Gili Kadiz, a great snorkelling site.
