Colombina Hotel – Venice, Italy

Small 4 star Venetian Boutique Hotel in a wonderful position

Opened in 1999 this lovely small hotel is located on a side canal set back from the main lagoon and is only 5 minutes walk to St Mark’s Square.

Rooms & Suites

The hotel’s 33 rooms are beautifully decorated with expensive fabric wall coverings and Venetian furnishings. Rooms either overlook a canal (where you will be able to catch a glimpse of the famous Bridge of Sighs) or a charming Venetian courtyard. All have marble bathrooms

A very attractive cosy Bar and Lounge adjoins the main reception area. There is a separate breakfast room where buffet breakfast is served. Suggestions of places nearby can be supplied before you travel and from the hotel.

Facilities and things to do.

Take a high speed Water Taxi from Venice Airport to the hotel’s landing stage; the view on the approach to the Grand Canal, with the backdrop of the Dodge’s Palace and St Mark’s Square is unforgettable. For those who enjoy a stylish way to travel, the Venice Simplon Orient Express is a wonderful alternative to flying – ask for details.

Vaporetti (water buses) are the best way of getting round and seeing Venice (apart from walking), which stop at various points along the main canals; and also serve some of the larger islands in the Lagoon as well as Marco Polo Airport. Value cards for various durations offer good value, just ask for latest details.

The hotel also has its own landing stage which is particularly useful if arriving by private water taxi with luggage from the airport (tides permitting). As you arrive you pass under the famous Bridge of Sighs located close to the landing stage. There are various ways (and prices) of getting from Venice airport to the hotel just ask for further details.
