San Francisco enjoys warm Mediterranean summers and mild winters. The summer months of June to September experience average temperatures of 20 degrees Celsius, and winter temperatures (November to February) of 7 degrees.
Winter rainfall averages 4 inches per month with negligible rainfall during the summer.
Fisherman’s Wharf
A very popular tourist attraction where you can sample the delicious catch from the local fishermen. There are many outdoor stands in the area pitching a particularly well-known seafood, the Dungeness crab. You can also board the ferry from Fisherman’s Wharf to Alcatraz Island.
China Town
The oldest and largest “China Town” in the USA. Apart from the obligatory Chinese Restaurants, there’s also a conventional Chinese fortune cookie factory, traditional medicine outlets, shops selling herbs and Chinese temples.
Hop-on Hop-off Bus
One of the best ways to see San Francisco’s iconic landmarks. Travel aboard a comfortable open top double decker bus with full commentary, and hop on and off as often as you like. There are different itineraries to choose from depending on which landmarks you would like to see.
