Situated in the gleaming turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, the Seychelles consists of 115 lush tropical islands. The international airport is on the main island of Mahe, as is its capital, Victoria. Together with Praslin and La Digue, this group of inner islands offers the major tourist facilities and stunning beaches.
Various excursions are available using glass-bottomed boats, and there is a good selection of water sports, horse riding, golf and hiking, catering for all levels. Other attractions include the beautiful Creole houses, artist’s studios and marine parks.
The Seychelles islands are also a sanctuary for some of the rarest species of Flora and Fauna, with over half of the land set aside as national parks and reserves.
There are relatively short travelling times from the main islands to places of interest, using various types of transport, to offer the visitor a range of island hopping holidays as well as day trips. Travel to the Seychelles is quite easy, including flights from regional airports, via Dubai.
