Sandals...A Destination in Themselves! | Designer Travel

Consistently voted the world’s leading all inclusive company, 18 years in a row, at the World Travel Awards, Sandals Resorts offer more quality inclusions than any other resorts.

Owned by a long-standing Jamaican family who know the Caribbean as their home, Sandals have created 15 individual resorts in some of the Caribbean’s best locations. There are 7 in Jamaica, 3 in St Lucia, 2 in the Bahamas, 1 in Antigua and newly opened 1 in Barbados and 1 in Grenada…

Each resort, although consistent in offering the same standard of quality and service, are very different from each other…they each have their own individual style and design. Some are lively, others less so, some are quite large resorts, others are smaller and more intimate. All are presented within beautiful lush gardens and on beautiful beaches.

As ‘couples only’ resorts Sandals have a unique ambience and a real respect for ‘coupledom’ – affording as much involvement or privacy as each couple chooses.

Consequently Sandals resorts are ideal for honeymoons. Many couples also choose Sandals resorts for their wedding destination_blogs, not least because a Beautiful Beginnings Sandals Wedding is entirely complimentary!

Sandals resorts offer more accommodation choices than anyone. Starting with deluxe, there are up to 26 different room categories per resort. 40% of these are luxury suites with a personal Butler service included in the higher tier suites.

Dining at Sandals is an experience in itself! Anytime gourmet dining at up to 15 restaurants per resort allow you to experience authentic cuisine from Asia, Italy, France, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Beringer wines, unlimited champagne and premium brand drinks are freely available – and there are up to 10 bars per resort!

Sandals also include a vast array of both non-motorised and motorised watersports with first class tuition on hand. They also offer the largest and most comprehensive dive programme in the Caribbean….all the equipment is provided too. Certified divers may dive twice a day at no charge, whereas those wishing to join dive courses with PADI Dive Masters may do so for a nominal fee.

If you prefer dry land there are multiple choices of included sports as well as fully equipped fitness centres! Complimentary golf is also available at selected resorts.

For those who prefer to be pampered Sandals offer their beautiful Red Lane Spas…where saunas, steam rooms and plunge pools are all included. They also offer a fabulous range of treatments (for which there is a charge)

There is so much more I could tell you about Sandals resorts…this is just an overview. During the past few years I have been privileged to have stayed in or visited all of the Sandals Resorts, with the exception of Antigua and Grenada (which are on my must-do list!) I will be pleased to give you my honest and unbiased opinion and answer any queries you may have.

From sunrise to long after sunset, Sandals offer a memorable, authentic Caribbean experience, why not give them a try?
