5 Star River Cruising with Ama Waterways
Ama Waterways is one of the leading river cruise companies and operates one of the newest fleets in Europe on the Danube, Rhine, Main and Mosel rivers including the South of France and Portugal, Black Sea and Eastern European Cities. The company also operates in Russia, the Mekong River passing through Cambodia and Vietnam, and new for 2014/2015 Myanmar.
Their six original 5 star original state-of-the-art fleet of ships have introduced impressive new features and standards to European river cruising and are designed to offer clients larger cabins and more public room space. Most of the vessels’ cabins have French balconies (large open glass windows that open fully with railings in front). There are choices of Restaurants on board with open dining which includes complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks at lunch and dinner. (Dinner only in Russia). Other facilities include several lounges, library and a fitness/massage centre and hair/beauty salon. Bicycles are available free of charge and the vessels have elevators on selected decks. Their newer Concerto Class saw more new features including twin balconies in staterooms, fireside library, swimming pool and an intimate chef’s table restaurant with its own separate chef. The average size of staterooms is an impressive 214 sq ft, some suites as large as 350 sq ft.
The company also features a new ship 56 passenger ship the AmaPura based in Myanmar and the 28 passenger Zambezi Queen on the Chobe River in Africa.
