Relax in Elegant Surroundings

Windstar offers a very relaxing experience and a quiet, steady cruise while under sail or even with the engine running, as there is no vibration. Despite the size of the ships, the cabins are quite spacious and elegant, with plenty of storage, TV, fridge, iPod docks and well designed bathrooms with shower.

Rediscover Freedom or Romance!

Guests may dine when and with whom they like, from a romantic dinner on deck, or in the suite, or the main restaurant. Food and service are first class, there are no lifts on board and entertainment is low key.

If you are looking for a cruise on a small ship that is intimate, quiet and away from it all in elegant surroundings shared by only 148 or 312 guests, then Windstar is for you.

The Fleet

Wind Star and Wind Spirit are both 5350 tons carrying 148 guests and 88 crew.

Wind Surf is 14745 tons carrying 312 guests and 163 crew.

Major Refurbishment

Under their new owners Xanterra Resorts, Windstar have invested $18 million on upgrading its fleet in a ‘classic, stylish yacht luxury’ style. The most expensive fleet refurbishment in Windstar’s history was carried out in 2012. The interiors have been gutted with new furniture, art, lighting, wall covers and ceilings, carpeting and other floor coverings – all completely restyled and renewed. Designers sought to provide guests with a stylish, floating boutique yacht experience, creating a totally different environment from a commercial cruise ship.

Windstar buys Seabourn Ships

Seabourn has sold its three small yacht type cruise ships to Windstar, the Seabourn Pride, and Legend and Spirit each carries 212 guests. The vessels will be transferred to Windstar in 2014 and 2015.

Antigua

Riga and Latvia

At the crossroads between East and West Europe, Riga has wonderful architecture and long twisting avenues. It has inherited Jugendstil Architecture (German form of Art Nouveau); rich in detail with many buildings constructed in the early 1900s. The city has an up market feel (despite having a Stag party image)...
